St. Peter’s Lutheran | Sacraments | October 20, 2024 | Pastor Adam Rodriguez | God’s Word and His Sacraments have long been understood as “means of grace.” These are how God has promised to offer His forgiveness to His people. Since the Reformation, the church has clung to the authority of His Word but also held tight to the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Christ instituted both baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which have physical/visual elements and offer forgiveness. They continue to be highlights of our worship services and moments of celebration for the congregation of God’s work of forgiving sins.
