St. Peter’s Lutheran | A Story of Enduring Hope - Anna | January 5, 2025 | Pastor Adam Rodriguez | As we step forward into the new year, we touch on one last “Christmas Story”, that of the Prophetess Anna. Combined with Mary and Joseph’s encounter with Simeon, these two events form the dedication or presentation of Jesus at the temple. It’s a moment that prophecies foretold, that the Lord would once again come to His temple. Anna, who had been waiting a lifetime for this moment, held on to hope and saw God’s promise fulfilled in Jesus. Anna’s story reminds us that Christ is our eternal hope in every season.
